THE HEARTS OF THE WORLD is a series of paintings (approximately 5 ft x 6 ft each) by Potenza intended to honor every nation in the world by using the colors and elements of each country's national symbol, the flag, to create another universally recognized symbol - the Heart. There are approximately 205 paintings - one for each country.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

The mission of THE HEARTS OF THE WORLD project is to deliver the gift of the painting of each Heart to its respective country in recognition of the Heart of its People and to expand relationships within each country and between Peoples across the world, in essence "to bring the Hearts of the World together".

It is from the Heart, in which lives our natural relatedness, compassion, and courage, where peace at every level begins.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

The images are purposefully planned to provide the viewer with a strong message and asks the question: "Coming from the Heart, what can I do to make a difference...in my family, my community, my country, and my world?"

Presentations have been made to His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the United Nations, etc..
